National Economic Assistance Projects

 

Since the implementation of China’s foreign aid project for the first time back in 1986, CSI has set its footprints in 17 countries like Nepal, Sri Lanka, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Mozambique, covering buildings, transportation and municipal engineering of infrastructure sector, with an accumulative contracting amount of over 1.5 billion US dollars. 

Republic of Chad

CSI took its first step in Chad back in April, 2009, and had accomplished many large-scale municipal engineering 

projects like National Assembly of Chad and Women 

Training Center, which also became iconic buildings in the region. In September, 2014, CSI has been awarded with 
Upgrading and Extension of N'djamena International 

Airport Terminal Project, which was one of the vanity 

projects of African Union Summit held in July, 2015.

The China-aid Training Center for Cardiac Surgery in Tanzania is located in Muhimbili hospital, Dar-es-salaam, capital of Tanzania, covering an area of 5744.89㎡with a total construction area of 5772㎡. In March 2010, the project was inaugurated in Dar-es-salaam and the Tanzanian President attended the opening ceremony. This project improved the medical welfare of the government and the well-being of people in Tanzania and set up a training and research platform for the medical staff to advance the medical technology of Tanzania.

Republic of Mozambique

Xai-Xai Airport of Mozambique is a modern 3C airport designed and managed by CSI. It is a key project of air transport 

infrastructure under the "Ten Cooperation Plans" between China and Africa. It is the largest aid project of the Chinese government in Mozambique. The project includes the construction of the terminal's infrastructure and the airport's integrated runway. After its future completion, the project will not only benefit local people, 

but also improve the regional aviation infrastructure network, 

aiming to be a model of airport construction in east and South Africa.

Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste

Before the foundation of Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste in 2002, CSI has entered Timor-Leste contracting market in 2000. Over the past two decades, CSI has always maintained the biggest

international contracting market share in the country and has 

undertaken projects like Presidential Palace, Ministry of Foreign

Affairs Building and Study Center, Ministry of Defense and F-FDTL Building, making a positive effect on the friendship of both countries.
